About me
Hi, I'm Thomas.
By day, I work in the space where IT (Information Technology) meets OT (Operational Technology). In plain English, that means I build, manage, and secure the systems that keep modern business infrastructure running smoothly. I enjoy taking complex, tangled technical challenges and turning them into stable, efficient, and highly secure workflows.
Whether it's aligning corporate setups with strict security standards or retiring legacy systems to make way for modern governance, I appreciate the challenge of getting the details exactly right.
Why I Do What I Do
I’ve always been driven by a mix of curiosity and a desire to make things run better. For me, technology isn’t just a job title—it’s something I genuinely enjoy exploring.
When I log off from work, the tech doesn't usually stop. I’m an avid self-hoster and a bit of an automation nerd. I love spinning up Docker containers, experimenting with local tools, and finding clever ways to optimize my own environments. If a repetitive task can be automated, or a system can be self-hosted securely on my own terms, I’m probably already working on a configuration for it.
Beyond the Screen
While I love a good terminal screen, I also know when it's time to step away. Outside of tech, you'll usually find me out clearing my head on a long walk with my dog, Miky, planning a great road trip, or spending time working out in the garden. I find that a bit of dirt and fresh air is the perfect balance to a day spent dealing with data and servers.
